Travis Quinoa, MD

Travis Quinoa received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. As an undergraduate, Travis spent 2 years in the Golin Lab and a summer at the NIH in the Ambudkar Lab studying drug-efflux transporters and their roles in the blood-brain barrier and in multi-drug resistance. He also spent a year in the Mario Amzel Lab at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine conducting structure-function studies on sodium-ion channels. Travis received his medical degree from Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and is currently a resident in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. His research interests are principally in traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, brain-computer interface and the impact of socioeconomics on neurosurgical outcomes.
